Petticoat Lane Bridal 2017 Launch Night

What better way to brighten up a wet and dreary Monday night in November than gin drinking and wedding dress admiring! Last week I had the pleasure of being invited to Petticoat Lane Bridal in Hillsborough’s 2017 collection launch night at the stylish Vintage Rooms at the Plough Inn. On arrival each bride to be received a gift bag of goodies and fabulous discounts from top wedding suppliers and all guests were welcomed with a gin cocktail reception. And throughout the night the treats kept coming as we were kept well fed by the team at the Vintage Rooms who served up a selection of delicious small plates.

A few cocktails later the show commenced featuring dresses by global designers including Enzoani, Badgley Mischka, Charlie Brear, David Fielden, Nicole Sposa, Hayley Paige and Eliza Jane Howell. Getting the chance to see these show stopping dresses in such an intimate setting meant you could really appreciate the high quality and luxuriousness of each gown. It was evident that the team at Petticoat Lane have really put a lot of work into sourcing world renowned designers that produce elegant yet contemporary dresses their clientele are looking for. Each time one of the stunning models came through the door in another fabulous bridal masterpiece the crowd of ladies oohed and aahed in appreciation. I too was so blown away by the whole show that I found it hard to narrow down my favourites to share with you but I have managed to pick my top 5 dresses below.

One trend of the night that really caught my eye was the dramatic back detailing. From intricate 1920s inspired beading  and pretty bows, to sexy low backs and even dramatic lace capes these dresses wowed from every angle. Your guests will actually spend a lot of time looking at the back of your dress – as you walk up the aisle, as you say your vows and during the first dance so why not make the view from behind every bit as gorgeous as the front.

It wasn’t just breath taking wedding dresses on show on the night, Petticoat Lane also offer high end  bridesmaid collections such as Hayley Paige and Maids to Measure and exquisite accessories to complete your wedding day look. I fell in love with the delicate and intricately designed headpieces from local designer Deborah K Design so much I have decided to have my own bespoke hairpiece created for my Big Day.

If all that wasn’t enough there was also over 30 AH-MAZ-ING prices up for grabs in the raffle in aid of the very worthy Action Cancer. Some very lucky ladies walked away with a Hayley Paige bridesmaid dress, a pair of embellished Badgley Mischka bridal shoes, and even an Enzoani wedding dress! There was also the opportunity to chat to some wedding suppliers from the local area who were showcasing their products from wedding stationery to photography. All in all this was a fabulous girly night out and thank you again to Petticoat Lane for having me.

If you are still on the hunt for your prefect dress get your appointment booked at Petticoat Lane Bridal to see their amazing collection for yourself. The full 2017 range will be in store to try and buy by the end of November.

Also a big thank you to Angel Photography for letting me share all their stunning images of the night. Check them out at the links below.
